To advance to the championship game, Danbrook won 6-5 over Robert Mayhew (Wolfville, NS) in the semifinals of the 2014 Gibson's Cashspiel in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia; and won 7-0 over Mike Flemming (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Gibson's Cashspiel in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia;
 
Danbrook finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Danbrook defeated Paul Landry (Lakeshore, NS) 5-2, then won 7-5 against Flemming and 6-3 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS). Danbrook won 6-1 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Danbrook went on to lose 8-2 against Tommy Sullivan (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Gibson's Cashspiel Championship title, Danbrook earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 100 spots the World Ranking Standings into 168th place overall with 3.000 total points. Danbrook ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
