In their opening game, Stevens defeated Doug MacKenzie (Halifax, NS) 8-1, then won 8-2 against Kevin Saccary (Halifax, NS) and 6-2 against John Luckhurst (Halifax, NS). Stevens won 6-2 against Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS), then won 6-1 against Richard Barker (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Gibson's Cashspiel, Stevens take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize, remaining in 60th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 16.600 total points.
