To advance to the championship game, Virtue won 8-3 over Mick Lizmore (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Original 16 WCT Bonspiel in Calgary, Alberta; and won 6-3 over Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Original 16 WCT Bonspiel in Calgary, Alberta;
 
Virtue finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Virtue defeated Greg Keith (Spruce Grove, AB) 6-1, then won 6-1 against Thomas Usselman (Calgary, AB) and 7-6 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Original 16 WCT Bonspiel Championship title, Virtue earned 6.250 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 30th place overall with 46.437 total points. Virtue ranks 33rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.525 points earned so far this season.
