Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK) qualified for the 2014 Weatherford Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK).

Gedak finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gedak defeated Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) 7-2, then won 6-3 against Laycock and 5-2 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK). Gedak won 6-1 against Jamie Schneider (White City, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Gedak earned 2.700 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Weatherford Curling Classic, moving up 105 spots the World Ranking Standings into 207th place overall with 3.188 total points. Gedak ranks 135th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.700 points earned so far this season.
