In their opening game, Marteniuk defeated Colby Fesser (Estevan, SK) 8-0, then went on to lose 7-6 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Marteniuk responded with a 7-4 win over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK). Marteniuk went on to lose 4-2 against Clint Dieno (Saskatoon, SK). Marteniuk lost 7-2 to Ryan Hyde (Portage la Prairie, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
