To advance to the championship game, Walker won 8-2 over Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 Brantford Nissan Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-1 over Mike Jakubo (Sudbury, NONT) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Brantford Nissan Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada;
 
Walker finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker defeated Brandon Corbett (Rochester, NY) 12-3, then went on to lose 7-1 against Mark Kean (Brantford, ON). Walker responded with a 9-3 win over Josh Johnston (Toronto, ON). Walker won 4-2 against Damien Villard (Galt, ON), then won 6-3 against Brian Lewis (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Brantford Nissan Classic, Walker take home 8.225 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize, moving up 16 spots the World Ranking Standings into 60th place overall with 27.800 total points. Walker ranks 49th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.050 points earned so far this season.
