To advance to the championship game, Dropkin won 6-2 over Mike Farbelow (Blaine, MN) in the semifinals of the 2014 Twin Cities Open in Blaine, Minnesota; and won 5-4 over Ethan Meyers (Minneapolis, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Twin Cities Open in Blaine, Minnesota;
 
Dropkin finished 4-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin defeated Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) 6-5, then won 7-5 against John Lilla (Blaine, MN, MN). Dropkin went on to lose 8-2 against Roth. Dropkin responded with a 6-2 win over Jed Brundidge (St Paul, MN). Dropkin won 5-2 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Twin Cities Open Championship title, Dropkin earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $4,378CDN first prize cheque, moving up 22 spots the World Ranking Standings into 98th place overall with 8.588 total points. Dropkin ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
