Hackner finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hackner defeated Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, NONT) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-5 against Stephen Dropkin (Minneapolis, MN). Hackner lost 9-6 to McCormick where Hackner responded with a 10-1 win over Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Hackner won 4-3 against Brown in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Coors Light Cash Spiel, Hackner take home 5.110 world rankings points along with the $2,264CDN prize, moving up 291 spots the World Ranking Standings into 172nd place overall with 5.110 total points.
