Christensen finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Christensen lost 3-2 to Liane Fossum (Thunder Bay, NONT), then responded with a 7-2 win over Brekke. Christensen won 9-2 against Kate Bert (St. Paul, MN). Christensen went on to lose 7-1 against Courtney George (Saint Paul, MN). Christensen responded with a 9-1 win over Tina Persinger (Fairbanks, AK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Molson Cash Spiel Championship title, Christensen earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $2,717CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 78th place overall with 12.463 total points.
