Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB) run at the 2014 Bernick's Miller Lite Open came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON).
 
Muntain finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muntain defeated Tina Persinger (Fairbanks, AK) 10-0, then won 8-7 against Ethan Meyers (Duluth, MN) and 6-3 against Tyler Runing (Fargo, ND). Muntain went on to lose 7-6 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Bernick's Miller Lite Open, Muntain take home 1.250 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN prize, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 121st place overall with 7.825 total points. Muntain ranks 84th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.650 points earned so far this season.
