Brewster finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Scotland's Graham Shedden 7-6, then won 7-3 against Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR). Brewster went on to lose 5-4 against Scotland's Ross McCleary in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Dumfries Curling Challenge Championship title, Brewster earned 7.200 world rankings points along with the $3,626CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 24th place overall with 79.066 total points. Brewster ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 47.075 points earned so far this season.
