Aitken finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Aitken defeated Lauren Gray (Stirling, SCO) 6-3, then went on to lose 8-3 against Barbezat. Aitken responded with a 7-1 win over Scotland's Jennifer Martin in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Dumfries Curling Challenge, Aitken take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,450CDN prize. For week 17 of the event schedule, Aitken did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 221st to 223rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 0.358 total points. Aitken ranks 294th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.000 points earned so far this season.
