Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) won 8-3 over Mike Kennedy (Edmunston, NB) in the Final of the Truro Cashspiel, held December 11 - 14, 2014 at the Truro Curling Club in Truro, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Murphy won 7-1 over Andrew Symonds (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2014 Truro Cashspiel in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada; and won 6-1 over Ian Fitzner-Leblanc (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Murphy finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Glen MacLeod (Halifax, NS) 9-4, then won 8-3 against Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI). Murphy went on to lose 7-3 against Kennedy. Murphy responded with a 7-5 win over Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS). Murphy won 7-4 against Tyler MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Truro Cashspiel Championship title, Murphy earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 124th place overall with 9.361 total points. Murphy ranks 115th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.125 points earned so far this season.
