Mike Kennedy (Edmunston, NB) lost 8-3 to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Truro Cashspiel, held December 11 - 14, 2014 at the Truro Curling Club in Truro, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kennedy won 6-3 over Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2014 Truro Cashspiel in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada; and won 6-4 over Tommy Sullivan (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Truro Cashspiel in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada;

Kennedy finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kennedy lost 7-6 to Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 6-5 win over Glen MacLeod (Halifax, NS). Kennedy won 7-3 against Murphy. Kennedy went on to lose 7-6 against Tyler MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Kennedy responded with a 7-1 win over Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Truro Cashspiel, Kennedy take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize, moving up 38 spots the World Ranking Standings into 197th place overall with 3.956 total points. Kennedy ranks 179th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.750 points earned so far this season.
