Sweeting finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting defeated Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB) 9-4, then won 5-2 against Kayla Skrlik (Grande Prairie, AB) and 6-5 against Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE). Sweeting went on to lose 7-5 against Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB). Sweeting lost 5-2 to Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Sweeting earned 6.700 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown. For week 29 of the event schedule, Sweeting did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 4th place on the World Ranking Standings with 294.728 total points.
