Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB) qualified for the 2014 Nott Autocorp Thanksgiving Charity Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB).

Muntain finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muntain lost 7-3 to Kevin Brown (Winnipeg, MB), droppimg another game, 6-3 to Justin Stanus (Winnipeg, MB) where Muntain responded with a 5-2 win over Kyle Foster (Winnipeg, MB). Muntain won 5-3 against Jordan Smith (Winnipeg, MB), then won 8-3 against Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) and 5-2 against Jared Kolomaya (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Muntain earned 1.275 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Nott Autocorp Thanksgiving Charity Open, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 124th place overall with 6.575 total points. Muntain ranks 76th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.400 points earned so far this season.
