Peters finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peters defeated Kelly Lauber (Winnipeg, MB) 6-4, then won 5-3 against Dean Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-1 against Bale in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Nott Autocorp Thanksgiving Charity Open Championship title, Peters earned 4.250 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 85th place overall with 12.039 total points.
