Edwards lost 6-4 to Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO) where Edwards responded with a 7-2 win over Brewster. Edwards went on to lose 6-1 against MacDonald. Edwards responded with a 6-3 win over Murdoch in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the European Playdowns Championship title, Edwards earned 7.360 world rankings points, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 62nd place overall with 21.229 total points. Edwards ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.360 points earned so far this season.
