Liu responded with a 9-5 win over Farley. Liu went on to lose 7-4 against Ogasawara. Liu responded with a 9-6 win over Australia's Kim Forge. Liu went on to lose 3-2 against Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships Championship title, Liu earned 11.250 world rankings points, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 30.868 total points. Liu ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.260 points earned so far this season.
