Michel won 7-5 against Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT), then won 7-6 against Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.

Michel earned 30.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Le Gruyere European Curling Championship, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 11th place overall with 176.663 total points.
