Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nielsen defeated Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) 7-6, then went on to lose 9-1 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Nielsen responded with a 7-4 win over Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST). Nielsen went on to lose 7-5 against Andrea Schoepp (Garmisch, GER). Nielsen responded with a 8-4 win over Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Nielsen won 8-2 against Sanna Puustinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN), then won 8-6 against Linda Klimova (Prague, CZE). Nielsen went on to lose 8-4 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI). Nielsen responded with a 9-6 win over Anna Hasselborg (Stockholm, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Nielsen earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Le Gruyere European Curling Championship. For week 14 of the event schedule, Nielsen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nielsen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
