Amanda Russett (Kamloops, BC) finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Russett defeated LeAnne Andrews (Surrey, BC) 10-6, then won 10-5 against Kesa Van Osch (Nanaimo, BC). Russett went on to lose 9-7 against Stephanie Prinse (Chilliwack, BC). Russett responded with a 6-4 win over Kristy Lewis (New Westminster, BC). Russett won 7-6 against Prinse, then won 8-7 against Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the BC Scotties Open Event #1, Russett take home 1.750 world rankings points, moving up 58 spots the World Ranking Standings into 160th place overall with 2.025 total points. Russett ranks 105th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.025 points earned so far this season.
