After advancing directly to the championship game, Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) lost 6-3 to Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, held December 3 - 7, 2014 in Camrose, Alberta.
 
Homan finished 5-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) 7-4, then won 11-3 against Allison Flaxey (Listowel, ON) and 5-4 against Heather Nedohin (Sherwood Park, AB). Homan won 7-6 against Sweeting. Homan went on to lose 8-3 against Sherry Anderson (Saskatoon, SK). Homan responded with a 9-4 win over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, Homan take home 15.000 world rankings points along with the $19,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 306.187 total points. Homan ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 99.821 points earned so far this season.
