Peters finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peters defeated Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) 5-4, then won 4-3 against Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) and 5-3 against Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MCT Championships, Peters take home 4.550 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 19.364 total points. Peters ranks 65th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.575 points earned so far this season.
