Rantamaki won 14-4 against Saarelainen. Rantamaki went on to lose 8-7 against Uusipaavalniemi. Rantamaki lost 9-7 to Anttila. Rantamaki lost 9-8 to Kokkola where Rantamaki responded with a 14-1 win over Saarelainen. Rantamaki won 8-2 against Kokkola, then won 8-4 against Uusipaavalniemi in their final qualifying round match.

Rantamaki earned 0.825 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 14.757 total points. Rantamaki ranks 116th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.990 points earned so far this season.
