In their opening game, Leach defeated Dustin Turcotte (Falher, AB) 10-3, then went on to lose 9-6 against Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB). Leach lost 12-2 to Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB). Leach lost 7-6 to Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) where Leach responded with a 10-3 win over Lane Knievel (Manning, AB). Leach went on to lose 9-2 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Leach responded with a 7-3 win over Tyler Lautner (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
