To advance to the championship game, Harty won 8-7 over Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2015 Alberta Junior Mens Championship in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada;
 
Harty finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Harty defeated Tyler Lautner (Calgary, AB) 7-6, then went on to lose 5-4 against Sturmay. Harty responded with a 12-2 win over Corey Leach (Lac La Biche, AB). Harty won 9-2 against Lane Knievel (Manning, AB). Harty went on to lose 7-4 against Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Harty responded with a 9-6 win over Scoffin. Harty won 8-4 against Dustin Turcotte (Falher, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
