Backman won 8-7 against Arsenault in their final qualifying round match.

Backman earned 2.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Nova Scotia Scotties, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 87th place overall with 10.375 total points. Backman ranks 76th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.875 points earned so far this season.
