Vaughan won 6-3 against Mike Kennedy (Grand Falls, NB), then won 5-4 against Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB) and 6-5 against Terry Odishaw (Saint John, NB). Vaughan went on to lose 5-4 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB). Vaughan responded with a 6-4 win over Grattan in their final qualifying round match.

Vaughan earned 2.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the New Brunswick Tankard Final 8, moving up 38 spots the World Ranking Standings into 198th place overall with 4.988 total points. Vaughan ranks 141st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.725 points earned so far this season.
