Bottcher finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Daylan Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB) 6-5, then went on to lose 8-7 against Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB). Bottcher responded with a 11-1 win over Brent Bawel (Airdrie, AB). Bottcher won 8-3 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB), then won 7-3 against Jamie King (St. Albert, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup, Bottcher take home 8.550 world rankings points, remaining in 17th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 6.345 after improving upon their best so far this season. Bottcher ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 97.565 points earned so far this season.
