Deis went on to lose 6-3 against Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Deis earned 0.610 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, dropping 11 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 234th place overall with 8.602 total points. Deis ranks 176th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.369 points earned so far this season.
