In their opening game, Deis lost 8-6 to Mike Eberle (Regina, SK), droppimg another game, 6-3 to Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) where Deis responded with a 9-3 win over Matthew Mourot (Saskatoon, SK). Deis went on to lose 6-3 against Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
