William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) lost 6-4 to Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in the Final of the Weatherford Curling Classic, held November 27 - 30, 2015 at the Estevan Curling Club in Estevan, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Lyburn won 6-3 over Brad Heidt (KerrobMert, SK) in the semifinals of the 2015 Weatherford Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 8-3 over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 Weatherford Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Lyburn finished 4-1 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lyburn defeated James Gordon (Estevan, SK) 5-3, then won 8-2 against Kevin Wunderlin (Biel, SUI). Lyburn went on to lose 7-3 against Scott Bailey (Toronto, ON). Lyburn responded with a 7-4 win over Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK). Lyburn won 6-3 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Weatherford Curling Classic, Lyburn take home 22.359 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 40th place overall with 103.841 total points. Lyburn ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 75.878 points earned so far this season.
