Lawton lost 7-4 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) where Lawton responded with a 8-3 win over Lauren Mann (Montreal , QC). Lawton won 4-3 against Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON), then won 6-5 against Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS) and 4-2 against Heather Strong (St. John's, NL). Lawton went on to lose 6-5 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Lawton responded with a 9-4 win over Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Lawton won 9-1 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB), then won 5-4 against Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Lawton earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. For week 26 of the event schedule, Lawton did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
