MacKenzie went on to lose 11-3 against Adam Casey (Summerside, PEI). MacKenzie responded with a 9-5 win over Campbell. MacKenzie won 8-7 against Jamie Newson (Charlottetown, PEI). MacKenzie went on to lose 7-5 against Casey in their final qualifying round match.

MacKenzie earned 1.650 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 141st place overall with 9.950 total points. MacKenzie ranks 211th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.400 points earned so far this season.
