Shuster won 6-5 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA), then won 8-7 against Brown and 7-5 against Brady Clark (Seattle, WA). Shuster won 9-7 against Dean Gemmell (New York, NY) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Men's National Championship Championship title, Shuster earned 11.250 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 21st place overall with 96.192 total points.
