Gemmell lost 8-3 to Craig Brown (Blaine, USA) where Gemmell responded with a 10-6 win over Paul Pustovar (Seattle, WA). Gemmell went on to lose 4-3 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA). Gemmell lost 9-7 to John Shuster (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
