David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) lost 9-6 to Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Championships, held February 15 - 22, 2015 in Perth, Scotland.
 
Murdoch finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murdoch defeated David Mundell (Perth, SCO) 6-4, then won 7-1 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Murdoch went on to lose 6-4 against MacDonald. Murdoch responded with a 9-8 win over Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, UK). Murdoch won 4-2 against Cameron Bryce (Dumfries, SCO), then won 7-4 against Scotland's Ross McCleary and 4-3 against Stuart Taylor (Forfar, SCO). Murdoch won 7-4 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO), then won 5-3 against David Edwards (Aberdeen, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Curling Championships, Murdoch take home 5.900 world rankings points, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.9 after improving upon their best so far this season. Murdoch ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 65.549 points earned so far this season.
