David Edwards (Aberdeen, SCO) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edwards defeated Cameron Bryce (Dumfries, SCO) 7-5, then won 7-3 against David Mundell (Perth, SCO) and 7-6 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, UK). Edwards went on to lose 8-5 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Edwards lost 7-4 to Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) where Edwards responded with a 5-3 win over Stuart Taylor (Forfar, SCO). Edwards won 11-6 against Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO), then won 7-4 against Scotland's Ross McCleary. Edwards went on to lose 5-3 against David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Edwards earned 3.540 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Scottish Curling Championships, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 56th place overall with 36.464 total points. Edwards ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.595 points earned so far this season.
