Fujisawa won 8-3 against Touka Furuta (Kitami, JPN). Fujisawa went on to lose 6-3 against Mari Motohashi (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Fujisawa earned 0.715 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 43.139 total points. Fujisawa ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 40.465 points earned so far this season.
