Edin won 7-6 against Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN), then won 11-6 against Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Men's Curling Championship Championship title, Edin earned 45.000 world rankings points.
