Ulsrud won 9-3 against Pat Simmons (Calgary, CAN), then won 9-2 against Joel Retornaz (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA) and 12-5 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Ulsrud won 10-8 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN), then won 6-4 against Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the World Men's Curling Championship, Ulsrud take home 35.000 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 279.550 total points. Ulsrud ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 100.980 points earned so far this season.
