Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) lost 9-5 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the World Men's Curling Championship, held March 28 - April 5, 2015 in Halifax, Canada.
 
Ulsrud finished 10-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ulsrud defeated Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN) 9-7, then went on to lose 10-7 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Ulsrud responded with a 7-6 win over Evgeniy Arkhipov (Moscow, RUS). Ulsrud won 11-6 against Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO), then won 6-5 against Edin and 8-7 against Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN). Ulsrud won 9-3 against Pat Simmons (Calgary, CAN), then won 9-2 against Joel Retornaz (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA) and 12-5 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Ulsrud won 10-8 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN), then won 6-4 against Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the World Men's Curling Championship, Ulsrud take home 35.000 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 279.550 total points. Ulsrud ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 100.980 points earned so far this season.
