Sik responded with a 5-2 win over Simon Biedermann (Gstaad, SUI). Sik won 6-2 against James Pougher (Deeside, WAL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Sik earned 1.700 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 193rd place overall with 9.462 total points. Sik ranks 194th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.812 points earned so far this season.
