Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) lost 5-4 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, held September 3 - 7, 2015 in Oakville, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Paetz won 6-5 over Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2015 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario; and won 5-4 over Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Paetz finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Chrissy Cadorin (Guelph, ON) 8-5, then won 5-2 against Anna Hasselborg (Stockholm, SWE) and 4-2 against Nina Roth (Blaine, USA). Paetz won 6-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, Paetz take home 51.088 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 372.808 total points. Paetz ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.088 points earned so far this season.
