Evgeniy Demkina (Moscow, RUS) won 9-3 over Karin Rudstrom (Gavle, SWE) in the Final of the Riga International Challenge, held October 23 - 25, 2015 in Riga, Latvia.
 
Demkina finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Demkina defeated Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST) 6-4, then went on to lose 5-2 against Daniela Driendl (F�ssen , GER). Demkina responded with a 9-2 win over Ineta Maca (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Riga International Challenge Championship title, Demkina earned 16.274 world rankings points along with the $3,192CDN first prize cheque, moving up 90 spots the World Ranking Standings into 103rd place overall with 18.269 total points. Demkina ranks 72nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.274 points earned so far this season.
