To advance to the championship game, Koe won 9-2 over John Shuster (Duluth, USA) in the semifinals of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador; and won 7-6 over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador;
Koe finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe lost 5-4 to John Epping (Toronto, ON), then responded with a 7-3 win over Shuster. Koe won 7-5 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI), then won 5-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 Championship title, Koe earned 75.408 world rankings points along with the $24,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 383.935 total points. Koe ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 98.475 points earned so far this season.
