John Shuster (Duluth, USA) run at the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-2 loss to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador; Shuster advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-4 win over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB).

Shuster finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster lost 7-3 to Koe, droppimg another game, 6-5 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) where Shuster responded with a 5-1 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Shuster won 6-3 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Shuster earned 45.783 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 14th place overall with 172.755 total points. Shuster ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.783 points earned so far this season.
