To advance to the championship game, Kean won 6-4 over Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador; and won 9-7 over Chad Stevens (Halifax , NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador;
 
Kean finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kean defeated Rick Rowsell (St. John's, NL) 9-1, then won 7-2 against James Grattan (Oromocto , NB) and 8-3 against Travis Fanset (Brantford, ON). Kean won 5-4 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, Kean take home 26.108 world rankings points along with the $9,200CDN prize, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 84.106 total points. Kean ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.722 points earned so far this season.
