In their opening game, Curtis lost 6-1 to Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA), droppimg another game, 11-3 to Amber Holland (Regina, SK). Curtis lost 8-4 to Barb Spencer (Winnipeg , MB) where Curtis responded with a 5-4 win over Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
