To advance to the championship game, Kim won 8-4 over Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) in the semifinals
 
Kim finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Mallory Kean (Stoney Creek, ON) 7-2, then won 11-5 against Erin Morrissey (Ottawa, ON) and 7-4 against Flaxey. Kim won 6-1 against Chrissy Cadorin (Guelph, ON), then won 5-1 against Patti Lank (Lewiston, NY) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic Championship title, Kim earned 34.497 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 204.240 total points. Kim ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 80.610 points earned so far this season.
