Scott Ballantyne (Tara, ON) 7-2, then went on to lose 6-4 against Rob Lobel (Tara, ON). Cottrill responded with a 6-4 win over Travis Belchior (Shelburne, ON). Cottrill won 5-4 against Al Hutchinson (Owen Sound, ON). Cottrill went on to lose 8-2 against Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Cottrill earned 1.173 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Cottrill did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cottrill ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
